My launcher seems to be broken also. I uninstalled/reinstalled the game. Ran the repair tool twice and it still just hangs up. I can log in though through the bin/exefile.

You can already move the lower eyelid up quite a bit in customization. You can move both top and bottom for a more squinty look. You can move the lower up a bit and move the outer eyebrows up a bit for laughing eyes. aaannd.. I could go on with...
